- Students will be learning and using the Engineering Design Process to solve problems:
Last week students learned the Engineering Design Process (Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, Improve, Present) and sorted pictures to match each step of the process.
Over the next 3 weeks we will be using those steps to solve our first engineering problem. We will read Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom and our STEM Challenge will be based on this story. Be sure to talk to your child to hear about this exciting project!
3, 4, 5 - Students will be learning and using the Engineering Design Process to solve problems: Over the last 2 weeks students learned how to use Word and created a Class Rules poster. We will be using Word, along with other programs to present some of our engineering projects.
Over the next 8-9 weeks students will be learning and using the Engineering Design Process to solve different challenges in Unit 1 of our STEM Curriculum. Each lesson will build on the last and move students through the EDP. This first unit will focus on Bubbles. Be sure to ask your child how things are going in STEM to hear about this exciting project!!
