Oakland is located in Orange County approximately 10 miles west from Orlando and just north of most Central Florida Theme Parks. While Oakland is primarily a small residential community, it is dissected by major traffic routes of Florida?s Turnpike and SR 50, which induce heavy volumes of traffic through our Town. The Town of Oakland is culturally diverse, rich in heritage and our citizens take great pride in the community.

The Oakland Police Department adopts the Community Policing Philosophy in the way we do business. We are committed to providing the best possible services to our citizens and visitors. We recognize that citizen involvement is the cornerstone of community policing. We dedicate ourselves to becoming part of the community by way of improved communication and access, mutual setting of goals and priorities, and shared commitment to the crime prevention responsibility.

We seek to improve the quality of life for all residents of the Town of Oakland through a proactive team approach to timely, innovative intervention in community problems.
