Comments, Complaints, and Appreciation
If you would like to make a comment, complaint, or share your appreciation regarding a member of the Police Department or to merely let a supervisor know how much you appreciated an officer's assistance or service, please contact either Lt. Kelly or Chief Driscoll at 407 656-9797 to discuss the matter with them.
If an official complaint is desired and necessary, there are very specific rules that must be followed according to Department Policy and State Statute. A complaint must initially be directed to the individual's supervisor or an Administrator.
Contacting one of your local representatives to make a complaint about a member of the Police Department can and will not be taken as a complaint. The actual complainant must present themselves to make the complaint, and this is usually done via a meeting with the Officer's Supervisor or an Administrator.
Supervisors and Administrators also enjoy hearing positive comments about their officers for good things they have done. Often these compliments are maintained by supervisors or in the officers personnel file. Please contact the Oakland PD at 407 656-9797 for these as well.
