Police Lieutenant - Lt. Wesner Osselyn

Lieutenant Wesner (Wes) Osselyn has been a member of the Oakland Police Department?s team since 2005. He has brought with him an array of experience acquired during his tour of duty in the United States Army, his service with the New-York City Police Department as well as the Orlando Police Department. Lieutenant Wes Osselyn is a very strong supporter of community policing and believes in the co-existence of community and law enforcement as described in the agencies mission statement, ?the optimum balance between the collective interests of all citizens and the personal rights of all individuals?. As the second in command of the Oakland Police Department, Lieutenant Wes Osselyn is actively involved in all aspects of the patrol division while he oversees all full time and reserve patrol officers. The Lieutenant also fields and addresses all citizen concerns or complaints. .
