Orton Gillingham Model School

OACS is proud to announce that we have been named an Orton Gillingham Model School.  OACS is one of four schools in Orange County chosen.

Our partnership with the Reed Charitable Foundation has brought about a wonderful learning environment that has shaped curriculum adjustments for OACS. OACS began utilizing OG principles in January 2022 for our K-2 and some interventions for our 3-5th graders. This year, we will continue to work towards training our entire VPK-5 teaching staff so that we can reach full implementation of OG principals by next school year for all grades.

K-2 will be full implementation this year; VPK will begin introduction of various principles aligned with VPK standards; 3-5th grade will begin implementation after all applicable instructional staff have been trained.
