Welcome to 2nd Grade! My name is Amanda Faraj and this is my second year at Oakland Avenue Charter School. When I was a second grader I loved playing school and am a third-generation teacher, so my passion for education clearly developed at a young age. I graduated from UCF in 2015 with an elementary education degree, as well as earning my reading and English for speakers of other languages endorsements. 

My husband and I live here in Oakland and take pride in our little town! I am so glad that I can give back to the community in such a special way. In my free time you might find me at an Orlando City soccer game, taking yoga or dance classes, or sitting by the pool reading a new book! 

I strongly believe that these students are capable of whatever they set their minds to. I want to help inspire them to create goals, overcome obstacles, challenge themselves and soar to new heights! Go Eagles!
